We are delighted to have the work of The Attic Art Studio exhibiting as part of Made in Kings Heath Open Studio Art Trail this year at the Kitchen Garden Cafe & Shop
The Attic Art Studio produces encaustic, mixed media artwork. Encaustic is an extremely durable, ancient painting technique dating back to the 4th century B.C. By melting beeswax, natural resin and coloured pigments an organic paint is produced and then applied in layers, which are then bonded together using extreme heat. An obsession for the process and alchemy of art and for texture, colour and depth sees The Attic Art Studio adding other mixed media materials into the artwork resulting in beautiful, luminescent, 3D paintings, resin blocks and sculptures that invite you to interact with their tactile surface.
Made in Kings Heath are delighted to be collaborating with Fletcher Bar / Kitchen Garden Cafe this year, to provide the fourth venue on the Open Studio Art Trail to showcase some of the MiKH artists alongside the artists participating in the Kitchen Garden Cafe Christmas Fair. The Attic Art Studio, Claudine TS Art and Giles Hughes of Circa Arts MiKH artists will be exhibiting in The Shed, Fletcher Bar & the and Shop at the Kitchen Garden Cafe & Fletchers Bar, York Road, Kings Heath on Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December 11am – 4pm. You can find all the MiKH venues on the map below.
